Even billionaires like a good deal. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky found love over a portable grill. The couple, who celebrated their 2-year-old son RZA’s birthday last weekend and welcomed a second son, Riot Rose, last year, fell for each other doing simple things such as setting out on a road trip and cooking their food on a “little janky grill” from Walmart.

Rihanna name-dropped the retailer in a 2022 Vogue magazine cover story, while opening up about her first pregnancy and falling for the Harlem rapper. Although the two had been friends for years, the pandemic — and a road trip from Los Angeles to New York City in the summer of 2020 — brought them closer. “I cooked our food on this little janky grill I bought from Walmart,” Rih recalled to Vogue at the time. “I still have it, too. It works like nobody’s business.”
