Davido is teaming up with cognac brand Martell for a new release that celebrates Afrobeats, art and the shared connection of toasting with a good drink in hand.

The Martell Afrobeats collection features a new Martell VS bottle and an XO limited edition bottle, both designed in collaboration with Davido and Prince Gyasi, the Ghanaian artist who also steps into a new role as Martell Creative Partner.

The storytelling extends to a new bottle design, inspired by soundwaves and the African landscape, and featuring an original illustrated portrait of Davido’s face front and center. The bottle is available to order online now through ReserveBar.

Maison Martell says Gyasi “interpreted the movement and energy of Afrobeats” along with the landscapes of West Africa on the bottle, while keeping Martell’s signature blue and gold colorway front and center. The result is an elegant and eminently collectible bottle with instant visual appeal, deserving a spot on your bar cart or top shelf.

The actual liquid inside the bottle is just as elegant, with the French cognac boasting notes of plum, apricot and candied lemon for a smooth and rich experience, whether neat, on the rocks or in a cocktail.

For Davido, who is also performing at a special launch party to celebrate the new bottle, the Martell collaboration is just another way the Grammy-nominated singer hopes to bring Afrobeats culture to a larger audience. In addition to lending his face to the limited release, the Nigerian-American singer filmed a music video for his latest release “Already Falling” at Château de Chanteloup, Martell’s estate in Cognac, France (the video also features shots of the Martell Afrobeats bottles, natch).

“It’s been a blessing to help push the sound of Afrobeats to the world,” Davido says in a release, adding that “bringing Prince into the mix to connect the music with his creative vision took it to a new level. I’m grateful to work with partners who have a shared goal of pushing African culture forward.”

“When I hear music, I experience it visually,” adds Prince Gyasi, who says he saw the Martell bottles as a “canvas” to work with. “With these designs, I wanted to capture the feeling of Afrobeats – the movement, the joy, the confidence and the way it connects people across the world. Davido brings that energy through music, and I wanted to translate it through colour, movement and emotion. The aim was to create something that feels alive.”

While Davido has worked with Martell for years, this release marks the first expression of Prince Gyasi’s role with the Maison. The Davido Martell VS expression is available now in the U.S., with an XO release launching exclusively in Africa.

“Martell’s heritage is rooted in craftsmanship and an optimistic spirit, with an openness to the cultural forces shaping our world,” says Sébastien Borda, VP Marketing Prestige, Pernod Ricard. “Davido and Prince Gyasi bring music, art and design together in a way that feels distinctive, joyful and contemporary. It reflects the spirit of celebration and creative exchange we want people to experience through Martell.”

The new Martell collaboration comes on the heels of a busy year for Davido, who made his debut at Coachella in April, and was featured on the official FIFA World Cup 2026 album with the single “No Place Like Home,” featuring Major Lazer and Nelly Furtado.
