Previous Clapton-exclusive guitars have been a hot commodity at Guitar Center, with the remake of the singer’s 2006 “Blackie” flying off the shelves in just four hours, the fastest-selling guitar launch at that time. Almost two decades later, in 2025, the Gibson Custom Eric Clapton 1958 Les Paul sold out in under 12 hours.

Created in partnership with John Mayer, the PRS Silver Sky is the collection’s wildcard. Mayer will bring the guitar model to the stage for the first time at the 2026 Crossroads Guitar Festival.

Ernie Ball x Eric Clapton 2026 Crossroads Slinky Electric Guitar Strings 3-Pack
$29.99
A 3-pack of 6-string electric guitar strings.
Eric Clapton is getting his first signature string set, made in collaboration with Ernie Ball. The Guitar Center-exclusive 3-pack features six-string electric guitar strings with nickel-plated steel wrap wire in Regular Slinky 10–46 gauge, packaged in a collectible commemorative tin. Priced at $29.99, the limited-edition release includes three sets of strings, with only 5,000 tins being produced as part of the 2026 Crossroads guitar collection.
Guitar Center’s Clapton connection dates back to 2004, when the company acquired several historic instruments at the Crossroads guitar auction, including “Blackie,” Clapton’s Cream-era Gibson ES-335, and George Harrison’s Martin 00-21. Those guitars now form part of the retailer’s Legends Collection at its Hollywood flagship.
Proceeds from the 2026 Crossroads guitar collection will go to the Crossroads Centre Antigua, a treatment and education center founded by Clapton in 1998 for people affected by chemical and alcohol dependency.
