The world of basketball and music have always been intertwined, especially during major events like NBA All-Star Weekend. Fans gathered in San Francisco this past weekend to celebrate the annual basketball event with celebrities, athletes, and artists taking over the Bay area with must-see performances from local legends including DJ Cassidy, E-40, Too $hort, Saweetie, and more. While the Grateful Dead never performed during an NBA event, their on-going collaborations with the sports league deserves them a celebratory themed night similar to “Drake Night,” or at the very least, a limited-edition skull-themed jersey.
