Heated Rivalry is a cultural phenomenon, unlike anything we’ve seen before. Maybe it was a right place, right time moment, but when the award-winning Canadian hockey romance drama premiered in 2025, it was basically everywhere.

Leading men Connor Storrie, who plays the ever-cocky Ilya Rozanov, and Hudson Williams, who portrays Canadian prodigy Shane Hollander, became heartthrobs overnight. The LGBTQIA+ series launched their careers into stardom, and even boosted sales of the show’s enemies-to-lovers source material by Rachel Reid. In fact, even the soundtrack went viral.

The synopsis for the show reads, “Relive all of the moments from the show that made you wet (with tears) up close on the small stage by an incredible cast of Broadway actors who thought they were auditioning to be in season two. Sporting a bop-infused score, scene-stealing cameos by characters like ‘Rose Landry’ and ‘Ilya’s Ass,’ and time jumps absolutely no one can keep track of, audiences will find themselves hot, bothered and probably saying, ’….Girl!‘”
The show’s runtime is about one hour and 25 minutes, a short and sweet jaunt into the world of gay hockey. Due to high demand, the spoof musical’s run has already been extended to Sept. 7.
Cast members include Jay Armstrong Johnson playing Rozanov, and Jimin Moon as Hollander. Both actors are near-copies of the beloved characters, which makes things extremely exciting for viewers looking to see the hockey players in action for real. All the music was written by Dylan MarcAurele, known for his jokey spoof tracks from shows such as Pop Off, Michelangelo! and The Real Housewives of NYC: The Musical.
