Austin has long been a city where music spills out of every corner, from legendary venues to neighborhood bars and local stages. Now, a new development aims to bring that culture into the foundation of a new hospitality and residential destination.

UMusic Hotel Madrid opened in 2022, establishing the brand’s approach to bringing hospitality, music and culture together. In Austin, that vision will expand to include private residences alongside the hotel and entertainment offerings.
The project’s centerpiece will be White Rocks Amphitheater, a 10,000-seat outdoor venue designed to host concerts and cultural events. The development will also include 150 hotel rooms, 600 private residences, recording and content creation studios, a 1,500-capacity indoor event venue, an underground comedy club, two fine dining restaurants, three bars, an on-site distillery and tasting room, a private members club, wellness and longevity facilities, resort-style pools and a large beach club.
Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with the first phase projected for delivery in early 2029 and additional phases continuing through 2032. Residences are currently available, with The Preserve I starting at ~$760,000 and Private Residences starting from approximately $1.6M.
“Austin’s creative spirit is what makes this city so distinctive,” said Jordi Solé, President of UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle. “Our goal is to build on that foundation, bringing hospitality, residences, live performance and creative spaces together in a destination that gives artists, residents and guests new ways to experience the culture that defines Austin.”
The development was introduced at an exclusive launch event in Austin on April 23, 2026, featuring performances from Lyle Lovett and Asleep at the Wheel. Developers say the project will also support the local creative community through artist programming, partnerships and funding initiatives.
This ongoing commitment is further solidified by a newly announced endowment, a first-of-its-kind funding model designed to provide permanent support for Austin’s arts and nonprofit organizations. The project also recently announced the White Rocks Collab, an artist development and performance venue which will be a permanent downtown addition to the main White Rocks project. The Collab will provide artists creative and career development support and a live performance space.
