When BTS came back with new album Arirang on March 20, the popularity of the boy band’s merch exploded.
The demand for BTS-themed paraphernalia skyrocketed, so much so that the K-pop act dropped an ARIRANG merch line with Target, which included a ton of wearable pieces such as socks, hoodies and tote bags. While those pieces sold out like lightning, one item seemed to draw all of the attention: BTS’ Version 4 official lightstick. This partnership with Target made the lightstick more accessible than ever.
While the lightsticks quickly sold out at Target, you can now get them at other retailers like StockX and Amazon. The price at Target was originally $69, but due to high demand, third-party sellers are increasing the price. While StockX is currently selling them for $66, Amazon’s list price is over $80.

This means ARMY can still get their hands on the group’s lightstick in time for their remaining 2026 ARIRANG tour.
BTS Official Light Stick Ver. 4

This is an official BTS lightstick. Lightsticks are used during K-pop concerts.
Lightsticks are usually light-up wands that correspond with a specific K-pop group. Every K-pop group has one, often featuring a specific color or motif associated with the group. BTS’ ARMY Bomb has a clear bomb-shaped head and BTS’ logo on the inside. ARMY will use their official lightsticks at concerts, such as the group’s upcoming world tour, to cheer on their idols, bopping the lightstick to the music with fellow fans.
K-pop fans know that official lightsticks are hard to find and buy, and they were even harder to buy back in the early days of K-pop. With K-pop’s surge in popularity, many U.S. retailers are now selling official lightsticks from tons of groups, including Stray Kids, ATEEZ, TWICE, aespa, and of course, BTS. We’re hoping that with the demand for more lightsticks, retailers will catch on, fixing that accessibility issue for non-South Korean fans in the future. For now, though, StockX and Amazon are your best bet.
